今回で第10回目を数える今年初めてのopenlab.では、ロンドンを拠点に活動するヴィジュアルアーティストElisa Marchesini（エリーザ・マルゲジーニ、伊/蘭）を迎え、彼女の作品について語ってもらいます。ファッションをテーマにしながら、彼女の興味はいかに服が作られるということよりも、服装とともに人々がいかに振る舞うのか、あるいはいかにして「ファッション」という現象が生起するのか、ということへと向かっているように思われます。なお、Elisa MarchesiniはRADがhanareとともに運営するレジデンスhanareradへの招聘アーティストです。滞在は今年の四月までの予定。----

For our first "openlab" in 2010, we invite Elisa Marchesini, visual artist, to talk about her work. While she uses fashion as her tool and device, Marchesini's focus is more on how people behave with clothing, and how fashion as a media and phenomenon shape our perceptions and society itself. Elisa Marchesini is currently staying at the residency, 'hanarerad' which hanare and rad are co-oparating.
